Charles Edgar Rankin's Obituary
Charles Edgar Rankin passed away on September 13, 2024. He was born in Abingdon, Virgina on September 7, 1934, to Clifton and Dorothy Rankin. He was a member of Westside Baptist and loved to listen to music and sing.
He is survived by his wife, Modene DeLoach; daughter, Gail Abernathy (Mike); sister, Barbara Taylor; brother, Larry Rankin (Diana); grandchildren, Kristin and Kyle Abernathy; great granddaughters, Mya and Marina; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded by his parents; grandparents, Ira and Bertha Rankin; and late wife Sue Rankin.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. at Forest Meadows Cemetery-West, 700 NW 143rd St, Newberry, FL 32669, with Rev. Mike Taylor officiating.
