Charles Correia's Obituary
Charles Correia, age 90 of Gainesville passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2015. He was born September 28, 1925 in Taunton, MA to Antonio and Mary Silvia Correia. He grew up in Paterson, NJ and worked for the Sunbeam Company. The company moved him to Lighthouse Point, FL in 1965, he moved to Gainesville in 1980 where he worked for Fabco Air Inc. He was a WWII Navy veteran and one of the founding members of Queen of Peace Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Janet Correia; sons, Charles (Patricia) of Pompano Beach, FL, Stephen of Lighthouse Point, FL, David (Rebecca) of Orlando, FL and Thomas of Gainesville, FL; daughter, Marian C. Waring of Gainesville, FL and six grandchildren, Tamara, Andrea, Jessica, Brett, Tony and Matthew.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 10900 SW 24th Ave. with Fr. Kazimierz Ligeza as celebrant.
