Charles Robert Bode's Obituary
Charles "Charlie" Bode, 69, of Hawthorne passed away suddenly at his home on Thursday, July 9th. Charlie was born on September 23, 1946 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Gertrude Bode of Ohio. He went on to be a S Sgt in the United States Air Force. After he served his country, Charlie then went on to the University of Florida and graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering. Later years he resided in Hawthorne, FL where he built his business CEP, Commercial Electronics Plus.
Charlie loved to help people and would've done anything for anyone. He enjoyed spending time at the American Legion in Hawthorne. He loved to watch his grandkids play and was by his son's side every chance he was given.
Charlie is survived by his son, James Gray and his wife Michelle and grandchildren Lauren and Cameron of Hawthorne, FL.
The family will be gathering at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL for a small and private ceremony honoring his life.
