Charlene Smith Ormsby's Obituary
Charlene Smith Ormsby, 59, passed away peacefully at Shands Gainesville on September 23, 2021 following a lengthy illness. She was born in Houston, Texas on October 15, 1961 to Reverend James Edward and Betty Lou (Kerns) Smith. She was the youngest of three girls.
She drove semi trucks along side her husband of 19 years. She made the accomplishment of becoming a Master Mover with Allied Van Lines, she later went to work for Ruan as a route driver. Charlene was an accomplished artist and lived family traditions. She is a member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. She had the biggest heart and would help anyone she could in their time of need.
She is survived by her children Tangy (Mike) Nochta, James (Stephanie) Rush, Wendy Rush, Larry Ormsby Jr., Jack (Tara) Ormsby, Emily (Mike) Arguilla, and Sami Ormsby. Grandchildren Keanu (Shalyndrea) Crews, Brandon Crews, Aliyah Arguilla, Brianna Rush, Michael Arguilla Jr., Brayden Nochta, Alayna Ormsby, Nathan Arguilla, Dallas Ormsby, Hermoine Arguilla, Christopher Rush, Faith Ormsby, Zach Ormsby, Peyton Rush, Madilyn Rush, April Ormsby and Craig Ormsby. One Great grandson Kolbe Crews. Her sisters Cynthia (Keith) Clay and Sherry (Julio) Toro. And her animals who she loved more than all her kids Nana and Kat.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband Lawrence K. Ormsby, her parents, son Christopher, and granddaughter Harmony.
