Catherine Anna Diekmann's Obituary
Catherine Anna Diekmann, 85, resident of Newberry, Florida, died Sunday, February 21, 2016, in the North Florida Rehabilitation and Specialty Care Facility.
Mrs. Diekmann was born on June 30, 1930 in New York City, daughter of the late Wilhelm and Katherine Prigge. She moved to Miami, Florida where she lived for many years, working as a executive secretary for various businesses, and spent time working as a realtor. Mrs. Diekmann moved to Gainesville in 2001, along with her late husband Arthur, who preceded her in death in 2006. She was an artist, a painter and taught art classes. She was a member of Abiding Savior Lutheran Church.
Survivors include, two daughters, Jeanette (Edward) Hons, Alachua, and Lori Burns, of Gainesville; two sons, Arthur (Joyce) Diekmann of Newberry and Steven (Antoinette) Diekmann, of Palm Bay; one sister, Margaret (Herb) Wolff, of Barryville, NY. Five grandchildren and four great grandchildren also survive.
As were her wishes, there will be no services, and the family would ask that any donations be made to the charity of your choice.
