Cassandra Marie Sheehan's Obituary
Cassandra Marie Sheehan of Gainesville, FL passed away peacefully Sunday, January 13, 2019 surrounded by her brother, William and niece, Michelle. She was born in Santa Monica, CA on June 20, 1942 to William F. Sheehan and Marie O’Brien Sheehan and grew up in Bayonne, New Jersey. She was a former resident of Red Bank, New Jersey for more than 37 years. Cassandra graduated from St. Dominic Academy in 1960 and the College of St. Elizabeth in Convent Station, New Jersey with a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology in 1964. She retired from Verizon Communications in December 2000 after 30 years as a human resource professional.
She was preceded in death by her father, William F. Sheehan in 2003; her mother, Marie O’Brien Sheehan in 1983, and brother, Michael K. Sheehan in 1984. She is survived by her brother, William F. Sheehan, III of Gainesville, FL; niece, Michelle Tyson (Paul) of Port St. Lucie, FL; nephew, Sean W. Sheehan (Danielle) of Lynchburg, VA, and four great nieces, Erin Sheehan, Madeline Robertson (Hunter), Margaret Sheehan, and Sophie Sheehan as well as many cousins and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 500 NE 16th Ave, with Fr. Lawrence Peck as celebrant.
