Carrie Lee Boykin's Obituary
Carrie Lee Boykin, age 53, of Archer passed away Friday, December 1, 2017 at North Florida Regional Medical Center. She was born March 2, 1964 in Tennille, Georgia to Abraham and Melvina Webb McGill, II. She was a Head Start Preschool teacher for the Alachua County School Board for 15 years. She loved her family, especially her grandbabies. Carrie was a very loving person and always had a smile on her face.
She is survived by her husband, Bernard Boykin, Sr.; father, Abraham McGill and mother, Melvina Robinson; children, Valencia Boykin-Irons and Bernard Boykin, Jr.; grandchildren, Mulajia Williams, Tahlor Shanks, and K’Leb Cole; sisters, Lucy McGill, Gail Willis, Catrina Peeples, Luella Webb, Gloria Byrd, Joyce Wells, and Pracilla Amos, and brothers, Cleveland McGill, Clarence McGill, and Abraham McGill, III.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME WESTAREA, 823 NW 143rd Street, with Pastor Freeman Fields and Elder Renney Gray officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, starting at 10:00 a.m.
