Carolyn Elizabeth Porter's Obituary
Carolyn Elizabeth Porter, 67, longtime resident of Ft. White, Florida, died Sunday, March 29, 2015, in the Avalon Healthcare Center, Lake City, following a long illness.
Mrs. Porter was a native of Tampa, Florida, born on May 19, 1947 to the late Eugene and Mary Thompson, and had resided in Ft. White for the past 34 years. She was a nursing assistant, and enjoyed making southern belle dolls.
She is survived by her husband J. C. Porter, of Ft. White; four sons, Kenny Higgins and Daniel (Julianne) Higgins, both of Gainesville, Johnny Higgins and David Higgins, both of Graham; one brother, Richard Thompson, of Valrico, Florida. Ten grandchildren also survive.
Graveside funeral services will be conducted on Friday, April 3, 2015, at 11:00 A. M., in the Ft. White Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorials to Hospice of the Nature Coast, 150 North Main Street, High Springs, FL 32643.
