I am so saddened to learn of Carolyn’s death. We went to grade school together at St. Elizabeth of Hungary School in Crestwood, MO. (6-8th-I had moved there the summer before 6th grade from Springfield, Illinois).
I remember fondly going over to her house after school and often playing scrabble in the family room of her childhood home. I also remember how smart I thought she was, even at that time.😊 I think we also took the bus together.
I went to Ursuline Academy for high school, but think I still kept in contact with her even then, as Carolyn went to Nerinx Hall (as I remember). Lately (over several years) I had a desire to find her unsuccessfully, and was thinking I would contact her brother, Peter, as I saw he is an eye doctor when I Googled his name.
My sincere condolences go out to her husband, brothers, family, and friends. I am just shocked to hear of her passing. It sounds like she had a wonderful life of service to others. God Bless and Comfort you all surviving her.
