Carolyn Burquest Hebert's Obituary
Carolyn Burquest Hebert went up to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on December 18, 2024.
Carolyn was born in Sarasota, Florida on December 2, 1932. She graduated form Sarasota High in 1950 and attended Florida State University. She was co-director of Child Evangelism Fellowship of Alachua, Bradford, and Clay counties from 1962 until 1979. Carolyn worked as a staff assistant for the Public Works Division of the City of Gainesville, Florida, retiring in May 2002.
Carolyn was preceded by her loving husband of 31 years, Clark Harry Hebert, and her sons Samuel Michael Hughes, Paul Hughes and James Robert Hughes.
She leaves behind her children David Weston Hughes, Daniel Hughes, and Mark Hughes and stepdaughter Beth Wright. Three brothers, one sister, six grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Friday, December 27, 2024, at 3:00 P. M., at Countryside Baptist Church 10926 NW 39th Ave, Gainesville, Florida. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given in her name to the building fund of the Child Evangelism Fellowship of Countryside Baptist Church or to the Gideon Fund.
