Condolences to family! So surprised-we talked recently! I remember visiting farm in Ulen, our time as Bethany classmates, and visits and phone calls since then with my friend!

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Carol. I only met her a few times, but wow, she was a special person. Her support of Bethany Lutheran College (specifically the sciences) was so greatly appreciated. She impacted the lives of many students who never met her. I enjoyed getting occasional emails from her with some ideas she had for ways she could help our students be even more successful. She will be missed, but her memory will live on in ways no one can fully measure.
God Bless the memory of Carol Lehtola.

Carol was a true friend, I've known her since probably the early 90s. She was a wonderful teacher and leader for all things farm safety. Her wonderful smile and sense of humor were always enjoyed. I'll miss knowing she's around; even though I haven't seen her in several years, her great positive spirit was always within reach. We stayed connected though Facebook. Rest in peace dear friend.
My sympathy to Kenny and the rest of

In honor of our friend and colleague, members of the International Society of Agricultural Safety and Health will make a contribution to the ISASH Endowment Fund. It is in Carol's spirit that her legacy live on to encourage others to participate in scholarship and community outreach through the activities of ISASH. Carol has touched the lives of many, and has made significant contributions to the Ag Safety discipline. I remember Carol as a super-active little tomboy who rode the school bus with me. She was always ready to have a conversation--about almost anything--and was wise beyond her years. My mom took care of her a few times and always chuckled about how much she learned from Carol--no, not gossip, but about the farm, the animals, the crops. Sharkey would have been so proud of his baby girl!
You have my families condolences. We were neighbors growing up and knew her family. So sorry to hear of her passing.
