Ms. Carol Dee Hinkson's Obituary
Ms. Carol Dee (Bellinger) Hinkson, 75, passed away Friday, March 2, 2018 at Gainesville Healthcare Center, Gainesville, Florida.
Carol was born on June 30, 1942 in Galesburg, Illinois, the daughter of the late Clem and Dorothy Bellinger. Carol attended Illinois State University and received her degree in Elementary Education. She taught for 34 years in schools in Illinois and Florida, retiring in 2007 from Stephen Foster Elementary, Gainesville. Carol was a calm, patient and loving teacher. She will be remembered for her positive outlook in all things, bright smile, great kindness, and her love for her family and friends and her love for the Lord. She is now united in Christ with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her sister, Patricia (Bill) Spencer.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to all of the friends who have expressed care during Carol’s illness.
She is survived by her son, Chad Hinkson, of Dallas, TX, her daughter Amy (Ryan) McKenna, of Gainesville, FL; two granddaughters, Joy and Katy, her niece Debby(Bill) Gray, Debby’s son Matt and his son, Major, all of Moline, IL; her former husband and father of her children, Paul Hinkson, of Melbourne, FL.
A celebration of life service will be held on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at 10:30 A. M., at the Greenhouse Church, 2925 NW 39th Avenue, Gainesville, with Pastor Robbie Johnson, officiating. Gifts or donations in Carol’s honor may be made to Greenhouse Ministries, which supports a variety of ministries and charities.
