Carol Elaine Boals Bryant's Obituary
Carol Elaine Boals Bryant left this earth for her heavenly home on September 1, 2022. Carol was born in Gainesville, Florida on August 24, 1944, to Rev. O. E. and Shirley K Boals and lived her entire life in Florida. She graduated from Paxon Sr. High School in Jacksonville, Fl, class of 1962. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Kenneth Clyde Bryant; sons, James E. (Tracy) Bryant of Alachua, FL, and Kenneth C. (Sharon) Bryant of Canton, MS; five grandchildren, Michael (Lindsay), J.D. (Laura), Meghan (Michael), Courtney (Fabio), Lydia and Cason; two-great grandchildren, Sam and Caroline; one sister, Lydia Springs of Archer, FL. She was predeceased by her daughter, Lydia Ann Bryant, and brother Donald E. Boals.
Carol retired from Florida National/Wachovia Bank after 37 years and later worked at Central Florida Electric Coop for 8 years in Customer Service. She was an active member of Mt. Nebo Baptist Church and was very diligent in her faith.
Carol was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved baking (cakes and cookies were her specialty), reading, planting flowers, and watching Lady Gators Softball. Carol will be greatly missed by her family and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends Monday, September 5, 2022, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Williams-Thomas Funeral Home 823 NW 143rd St. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Mt. Nebo Baptist Church 4200 CR 340 Bell, Fl with Pastor Jimmy Fletcher officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Memorial Park 7242 Normandy Blvd. Jacksonville, FL with a Graveside Service at 3:00 pm.
