Carmen Lydia Laguna's Obituary
Carmen Lydia Borrero-Laguna, age 80, born in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, passed away on Sunday, April 27, 2014 on the feast of the Divine Mercy at 12:21 pm (EST); at Haven Hospice, Gainesville, FL. She was surrounded by her loving and devoted husband of sixty years Marcos, her beloved daughter Lillian, Son Marcos, Jr., daughter, Marta and son, Raymond at the time of her death. Beside her husband and children, she is survived by her daughter-in-law: Lynette Silon-Laguna and sons-in-law: Jose Ricardo Ortiz II, Gustavo Andres Bachman and Jeffrey Scott Pudwill. She is also survived by nine grandchildren: Leila Ilia Laguna-Eshack, (husband: Aaron Eshack); Elizabeth Marie Ortiz, Kristina Ivonne Ortiz, Jose Ricardo Ortiz III, Marcos Andres Bachman, Natalie Marie Bachman-Pomarico, (husband: Anthony Pomarico); Melissa Marie Bachman, Astrid Marie Bachman, and Nathaniel Andres Bachman. She also survived by five great granddaughters: Kenlee and Kylee Epes, Iyla Sky and Kira Sun Eshack, Kaia Marie Pomarico and great grandson: Austin Andrew Bachman.
Beloved wife and sweet caring mother, you are gone; but not forgotten. We will treasure you forever in our hearts. May you rest in peace in heaven in God’s loving arms.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 10900 SW 24th Ave., Gainesville with Fr. Ron Camarda as celebrant. Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 S.W. 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, FL at 2:00PM.The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 29, 2014 from 6-8 PM in the chapel of WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME, 823 NW 143rd Street.
