Carl Gregory Waters' Obituary
Carl Gregory Waters peacefully passed away on July 25, 2016 at the Palliative Care Unit in the VA Hospital in Gainesville, Florida. He was 64 years old.
Carl lived in High Springs with his surviving wife, Georgia and son, Gregory. His son Anthony and wife Erin live in Arden, NC with his five grandchildren, Gretchen, Timothy, Jonathan, Adrianna and Landen. Other survivors include his brother, Coy Waters and his wife, Joyice of Surfside Beach, SC; his sisters-in-law, Janice and her husband Mack Addington of Wise, VA and Goldie and her husband Steve Sloan of Norton, VA; Jessie, Dalton and Riley Dean of LaCrosse, FL; Jamie, Nathan and Tyler Price of Coalgate, OK; two uncles, two aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and many, many friends. Special friends include John Davis, Floyd Howell, Pauline, Henry and Mike Nadeau. Carl was preceded in death by his father, MJ (Shorty) Waters, mother, Barbara Waters, brother, Andy Waters and sisters, Cynthia Emino and Billie St. John.
Carl worked at the Metal Container Cooperation of Gainesville for 28 years until they closed; where he was a hard worker, friend to all his co-workers and a side kick entertainer with John Davis. Carl enjoyed gardening with his grandchildren. He served in the United States Army from July 12, 1971 until July 11, 1974. He was in the 82nd Airborne Division. Carl was a friend to all and would do anything to help you out. He will be dearly missed by all.
A celebration of life will be held at the home of Rob and Latrelle Davis on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. The address is 2031 NW 102nd Place, Gainesville, FL 32609.
