Carl Rose's Obituary
Carl Rose, age 92 of Archer passed away Wednesday, September 6, 2023. Carl was born August 10, 1931 to Carl Styles and Ruby Rachel Bailey Rose.
Carl was born and raised in Gainesville. He was a longtime active member of Westside Baptist Church. Carl was a building contractor all of his life, and a watermelon farmer. He also raised cows and horses. He is survived by a son, Carl Rose (Janet); daughters, Linda Rose (Chris) and Nancy Lusnia (Robert); five grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and one great great grandson.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Mary Lucille Rose; and his sister, Mary Pirkle and her husband Cleon.
A celebration of life will be held Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Williams-Thomas Downtown Chapel, 404 North Main Street, with Dr. David Chauncey officiating. Burial will follow in Union Baptist Church Cemetery in Newberry, FL.
