Carl S. Lee's Obituary
A Celebration of the Life and Homegoing of Carl S. Lee
Carl S. Lee was born on July 18, 1952, to the union of Andrew and Mable Lee, raised in Chiefland, FL. He moved to Gainesville, FL at age 20. Carl attended the Campus Church of Christ for the past 30 years, and served as a Deacon. He also worked as a Brick Mason at the University of Florida for 29 years.
Carl departed this life in peace, on Tuesday, April 12, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Mable Lee, his sisters Carolyn Lee, and Mayola Wilcox, and his brothers, James W. Lee, and Andrew Lee, Jr.
He leaves to cherish his memory, and to continue God’s glorious works: a loving and devoted wife, Joyce Lee; his son, Timothy Henderson (Coretta) of Gainesville, FL; his daughter, Kimberly Sharpe (Neville) of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; five grandchildren, Brianna, Brittany, Tiana, Zoehe, and Zander; two sisters, Essie Mae Sheffield, and Amanda Brown (Benny) of Chiefland, FL; two brothers, Herbert Lee (Fannie) of Chiefland, FL, and Lester Lee (Andrea) of Gainesville, FL; sister-in-law Loretha Lee of Chiefland, FL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 30, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at the Campus Church of Christ, 2720 SW 2nd Ave, Gainesville, FL 32607 with Rev. Pat Pugh officiating. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorials to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
