Bruce Sellers' Obituary
Bruce Sellers passed away Friday, September 28, 2018 at North Florida Regional Medical Center.
Bruce was born in Jacksonville, Florida on August 18, 1949. He spent his early years in North Miami, Florida. After that he moved to Gainesville, Florida where he lived for the next 45 years.
He was a graduate of North Miami Senior High School and Santa Fe Community College.
Bruce spent 30 years working for Edison Brothers, Bakers Shoe Store. Ten of those years as store Manager at the Gainesville Mall and twenty years in the Oaks Mall Bakers shoe store. In 1998, Bruce began attending Santa Fe Community College where he graduated in 2001.
Bruce then began working for Budd Broadcasting, Inc in 2001 and continued working there until this past August.
Bruce is survived by his wife of 45 years Mary Bailey Sellers; daughter Christine Marie; mother Ruby Sellers; sister Carol Combs; his dearest friends Richard and Linda DiFranco, and the Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday poker groups.
Bruce made everyone feel special. He had so many friends they are too numerous to list individually but they know who they are.
A memorial service will be conducted Thursday, October 4, 2018 at 2:00 p.m., in the chapel of WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME DOWNTOWN, 404 North Main Street. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorials to the Fish & Wildlife Foundation of Florida, P.O. Box 11010, Tallahassee, FL 32302.
