Bruce James Bleasdale's Obituary
Bruce James Bleasdale, 65, longtime resident of Gainesville, Florida, died Monday, November 13, 2023, at his home, following a long illness.
Mr. Bleasdale was born in Gainesville, son of the late Harry C. Jr. and Virginia Padgett Bleasdale and had lived most of his young life in Keystone Heights. He graduated from Keystone Heights High School, Class of 1976, where he played on the baseball and basketball teams. Mr. Bleasdale moved to Gainesville in 1986, he worked for many years for the Gates Energy Plant in Alachua, and for Southern Vault in Gainesville. He loved music and old movies, watching Gator sports, and he loved to cook, but mostly enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Shari Bleasdale; by a daughter, Sarah Bleasdale and one son, Daniel Bleasdale, all of Gainesville; one brother, Harry C. (Lisa) “Butch” Bleasdale, III, of Melbourne, FL; and by three sisters, Sondra (John) Davis, of Santa Fe, Virginia “Ginger” Gornto, Gainesville, and Deborah (Joe) Feagle, of Alachua, along with many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at 2:00 P. M., in the Chapel of Williams-Thomas Funeral Home Westarea, 823 NW 143rd St., Newberry
