Brittany Avery-Hoisington's Obituary
Brittany Avery-Hoisington left this world on February 2, 2023 to join friends and family in celebration in the Kingdom of Heaven. Brittany was born in Kansas City on July 24, 1989, spent her childhood in Chanute, Kansas, and graduated from GHS.
Brittany loved music, her family, her friends and above all, helping people. Brittany lit up every room and lifted up people in every circumstance. “Bitters”, as she was affectionately known, was a kind, loving, caring, and giving person. If someone needed a couch, she offered it. If someone needed a snack or food, her pantry was stocked and open. If someone needed a friend, she was there. She could be counted on, unless it was to actually be on time. Brittany brought people together and always made them laugh. Her quick wit was unequalled and infectious. Brittany was a free spirit. The loss of Brittany’s amazing soul touches her family and friends and will do so indefinitely. Her memory will live on through those memories she created with while she was with us. The only way we could avoid these feelings of devastating loss, would be to not have known her.
Brittany was a joy; she was stimulating; she was challenging and worth it. Her intellect was shocking and humble. Her sense of humor and sense of joy will turn hundreds of “moments” into a lifetime of precious memories and heartwarming laughter.
Brittany is survived by her mother, Candice; father, Drew; sister, Courtney; brother-in-law, Michael, many-many aunts, uncles, and cousins and her beloved dog Lola.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 11 at the Depot Event Space, 201 SE Depot Ave, Gainesville from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Donations may be made to her memorial at everloved.com or on her behalf at aspca.org.
