Brian Lee Elliott's Obituary
Brian Lee Elliott, 32, of Gainesville, Florida, passed away Thursday, May 15, 2014.
Brian was a native of Gainesville, born on November 24, 1981. He attended Trilogy School and was a graduate of the Class of 2000. He went on to further his education at Colorado State University where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree and played on the rugby team. He was currently pursuing his Master’s Degree at the University of Florida.
Brian was a competitive body builder who founded and promoted the Gainesville (bodybuilding) Show, which later became the Greater Gainesville Classic. All proceeds from the show went to Stop Children’s Cancer.
Brian enjoyed breeding and training Doberman’s in his spare time.
Brian was baptized an Episcopalian and attended St. Michael’s Episcopal Church. He embraced and celebrated the life of Jesus Christ.
He is survived by his mother, Vivian Elliott of Gainesville FL; father, John Elliott of Gainesville, FL and siblings, Chris Elliott (Athena) of Denver CO, Bradley Elliott, Mitchell Rase (Ruby) and Ashley Elliott, all of Gainesville, FL.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at 10:00 A. M., at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 100 NE 1st Street, Gainesville. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 from 5 to 7 P. M., in the Williams-Thomas Funeral Home Downtown, 404 North Main Street.
Memorial donations may be made in Brian’s name to Alachua County Humane Society, 4205 NW 6th St, Gainesville, FL 32609.
