Brenda Boley Woods' Obituary
Brenda Boley Woods, 62 of Gainesville, Florida, sadly left us after a short illness August 24, 2023, at the E.T. York Care Center Haven Hospice. Brenda was born on August 19, 1961, in Rainelle, West Virginia.
She is a graduate of Buchholz High School and enjoyed a long career at the University of Florida where she worked in the bookstore for many years and then later as the Membership Clerk for WUFT Tv-FM; UF College of Journalism Public Broadcasting Stations.
Brenda is survived by her son, Scott Woods (fiancée' Kelsey), mother Joan Morehouse, father Bob Boley (Helga), nephew Brandon Boley, her longtime companion Tom Burgess, a host of family members, friends, former co-workers and her dogs Ryleigh and Carleigh. She was preceded in death by her daughter Stacey Brown and her bother Mike Boley.
Brenda loved to bake, water ski, being on the water, spending time with her beloved dogs, country music, especially Rascal Flatts, all things pineapple and the Florida Gators.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Forest Meadows Mausoleum Chapel; 4100 NW 39th Avenue, Gainesville. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service, burial will follow.
