Brenda Elaine Alexander's Obituary
Brenda Elaine Alexander, 69, of Gainesville, FL passed away Friday, July 28, 2023, at home with her loving family by her side. Brenda was born in Orlando, FL on April 13, 1954, to the late James Wilbur and Juanita McBee Jones. Brenda received her AA from Santa Fe College and worked most of her life as a Bookkeeper in the Public Library System. Brenda loved animals, especially cats. She had a kind soul and rescued many cats throughout her lifetime. She enjoyed spending time at the beaches and the springs in Florida and attending concerts in the downtown area.
Those who knew Brenda knew of her tremendous spirit and sense of humor. When she believed in something, she would give it her all to make it succeed. Even after suffering several debilitating illnesses in the last part of her life, she never stopped trying to improve her situation or of those around her. Her courage never failed.
Brenda is survived by her loving husband John Wilson, a son Richard Alexander, grandchildren Lane and Cote, sisters Jennifer Allen and Serena Emerson, and many extended family members, friends, and colleagues.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, August 19, 2023, at 10:00AM at Williams-Thomas Westarea Chapel, 823 NW 143rd Street with David Wilson officiating.
