Bozena Hybsova "Bo" Brown's Obituary
Bozena Hybsova “Bo” Brown, 92 of Gainesville, FL. passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at her home on Saturday, September 13, 2014.
Bozena was born in Bukova, Czechoslovakia in 1921. In 1945, she moved to Ankara, Turkey to work at the Czechoslovakian Embassy. While still living there, she met her husband in 1952. In 1955, they returned to the USA and were married in Titusville, Florida before moving to Gainesville, Florida. She worked at Storter-Childs Printing Co. and retired after 30 years.
Bozena enjoyed spending time with family and friends as well as entertaining, traveling, cooking, gardening, word games. She was always volunteering and giving throughout her life: she helped out twice weekly at Hospice Attic for years.
Bozena is survived by her devoted and loving husband, Charles “Pat” Brown, of 59 years, daughter, Patricia A. Matthews and husband, Jesse L. Matthews (Gainesville, FL), Son, James A. Brown and wife, Perihan Brown (Gainesville, FL), grandchildren, Christopher J. Walker, Chad M. Walker, DeAnna M. Schlott, Yasmin S. Brown, and great grandchildren, Abigale M. Hardee, Chad Walker Jr., Ryder L. Walker.
Vigil will be Friday, September 19, 2014 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Holy Faith Catholic Church, 747 NW 43rd Street.
Funeral Mass will be Saturday, September 20, 2014 at 9:00 AM at Holy Faith Catholic Church. Followed by a reception.
Funeral Arrangements are under the care of WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME DOWNTOWN, 404 North Main Street.
