Blanche Rouse's Obituary
Blanche Rouse, 89, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2021. Blanche was born in Hawthorne, FL on Nov. 11, 1932, to Parents Delbert D.W. and Cassie (Cole) Sapp. Blanche graduated with the class of 1950 from Hawthorne High School in Hawthorne FL. She went on to graduate from the College of Nursing with University of Florida and began a 50 Year nursing career as an RN starting with Alachua General Hospital in Gainesville, FL, and ultimately retiring from Fairbanks Memorial Hospital in Fairbanks, Alaska.
Blanche spent 30 years in Fairbanks before returning to Florida in 2011 with her beloved dog “Smoky”
Blanche was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Ernest (infant), James Rodman Sapp (Opal) of Gig Harbor WA., Harold Sapp (Betty) of Americas, GA., Sisters Corinne Boulware (Bill) Columbia SC., and Minnie “Lee” Hawney (Ed) of Seattle/Mt Vernon, WA.
She is survived by her three sons, Rodney Everett (Christy) of North Pole, Alaska, David Everett (Tanya) of Littleton, Co., and Randy Everett (Mary Walsh) of Alachua, FL., 8 grandchildren, Randy Jr., Steven, Leslee, Patrick, Shawn, Ben, Kevin, and Alex Everett. Sister Racheal Ridaught, of Old Town, FL, Sister-in-law Opal Sapp of Gig Harbor WA. Nephews Dick Sapp (Mary) of Gig Harbor WA., Craig Ridaught (Tami) of Old Town, Fl. She Had 5 Great-Grandchildren and many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family wishes to thank the Staff at Tri-County Nursing Home for the care provided to Mom and Community Hospice of North Florida for her care in the final days.
