Mr. Billy Dyson's Obituary
Billy Dyson, age 82 of Cross Creek, passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2016 in E.T. York Care Center. Mr. Dyson was born January 15, 1934 in Whiteville, North Carolina to William Roosevelt and Clyde Hinson Dyson. Mr. Dyson loved farming and racing, especially NASCAR. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed family gatherings. He was a Shriner and a member of Micanopy Masonic Lodge and First Baptist Church of Micanopy.
Mr. Dyson was married to his wife, Helen Bernice Dyson for 63 years. Mrs. Dyson passed away on the same day. He was preceded in death by his brother, Rudolph Dyson. He is survived by his two sons, Billy Dyson, Jr. (Donna) of Cross Creek and Allen Dyson (Ginny) of Hawthorne; sisters, Mary McCallum of Gainesville and Jean King (Don) of Hague; grandchildren, Suzy (Larry), Jeffrey (Lyndi), Stephen (Rachel) and Stacy (Chris) and 5 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, June 3, 2016 at 11:00 a.m., at First Baptist Church of Micanopy. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow the service in Antioch Cemetery, Island Grove.
