Betty Walton Toombs' Obituary
Betty W. Toombs, died Saturday, May 24, 2014 peacefully at her Gainesville, Florida home at the age of 89.
Betty was married to Charles H. Toombs in 1946 in Jacksonville, FL, where they made their home and had a son, Charles Mark Toombs. They later spent many years in Plantation, FL, where they lost Mark in a boating accident. They spent over twenty years of their retirement years in Gainesville. Charles succumbed to cancer in 2008.
Betty is survived by many friends.
A Graveside Inurnment will be held Tuesday, July 1 2014 at 12:00 p.m., in Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to the charity of your choice.
