Betty Sue Thomas' Obituary
Betty Sue Thomas, 73, of St. Augustine, Florida, died Wednesday, July 17, 2019 in the E. T. York Hospice Care Center, Gainesville, Florida, following a sudden illness.
Mrs. Thomas was born in Gainesville, Florida, on August 6, 1945 to the late Frederick William and Gladys Silcox Neil. She lived for many years in and around Gainesville before settling in St. Augustine later in life. Mrs. Thomas had many various careers, but her time spent as a real estate broker was her favorite. She was active, bicycling, walking on the beach and even playing handball into her later years. Her time spent with her family was her time most treasured.
Survivors include; three daughters, Rita Reahm, of Summerfield, FL, Rhonda Todd-Miles and her husband Jason, of Winter Park, FL and Rebecca Neville and her husband Jason, of Atlanta, GA; two sisters, Linda (Jim) Moody of Leesburg and Debra Stanford, of St. Augustine; four grandchildren, Kara (Daniel) Mangum, Michael Neville, Kristin (Tiffanie) Reahm, and Carlie Miles; four great grandchildren, Ava Mangum, Celia Mangum, Andrew Hrybinczak and Anthony Sandin; a nephew, Lance (Stacy) Stanford and a great niece Brandis Stanford.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 21, 2019 at 4:00 P. M., in the First Presbyterian Church of Gainesville, 106 SW 3rd Street, with Minister Scott Stuart officiating. Interment will follow in Hawthorne Cemetery. A viewing will be held at the church prior to the service, beginning at 3:30 P. M.
