Betty Mayfield Mimbs' Obituary
Betty Mayfield Mimbs, 89, peacefully passed away Sunday, September 4, 2022, surrounded by her children with a promise of a blessed homecoming.
She was born in Morganton, North Carolina on July 24, 1933. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dock and Louise Mayfield
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, John Alan Mimbs Jr.; daughter, Debra Lynn; grandson, Timothy Joseph; brothers, Jasper, Johnny, Jud, and Elmer; sisters, Georgia, Mattie, and Anne.
Betty is survived by her brother, Ralph; daughters, Donna and Kimberly; sons, John (Mary) and Stephen; grandchildren, Sean (Marie), Matthew (Kat), Stevie, Sarah (Darren), Trevor, Greg (Taylor), and Amanda (Chance); great-grandchildren, Jacob, Briann, Brylee, Kyla, Grace, and Blake.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 8, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. at Williams-Thomas Funeral Home Chapel 404 North Main Gainesville, FL. with Charlie Blackwell officiating. Interment will follow the service at Evergreen Cemetery 401 SE 21 Ave. Gainesville FL.
