Betty Mercer's Obituary
Betty Louise Mercer, 82, of Hawthorne, FL passed away peacefully Saturday, May 1, 2021 after a long illness.
She was born in Shrewsbury, W.VA. to Oval and Dorothy (Slack) Basham. She lived and worked in CA before moving to FL where she met and married James Mercer.
She had a loving and giving heart and always helped those in need. Her laughter was contagious, and her sense of humor was one of many wonderful traits.
She is survived by her husband James, her sister Eunice Lima, her children Sharon Williams, Carol Holman, Linda Fransesco, Scott Buttram, Dianna Gavin, Robert Mercer, and Michelle Mercer, and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great, great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, May 22, 2021 at 11:00AM at Hawthorne Assembly of God 19815 SE Hawthorne Rd, with Pastor’s Janice Colson and Lowell Green officiating. In lieu of flowers a donation in Betty’s name to the Hawthorne Assembly of God would be appreciated.
