Beryl Hart McGraw's Obituary
Beryl Hart McGraw, age 89, died of natural causes on Wednesday morning April 20, 2016, in Gainesville, FL at North Florida Regional Hospital.
She was born on February 10, 1927 in Perry (Athena), FL to parents W.R. “Mack” Hodges, Sr. and Irene Harp Hodges. She graduated from Bronson High School in 1945 and worked at Tacachale (Sunland) for 29 years as a dental assistant.
She was a lifetime member of Pentecostals of Gainesville on 23rd Avenue.
She was a loving daughter, sister, mother, friend, grandma and much more. She taught everyone unconditional love, patience, and kindness.
She is survived by her daughter Jackie Hart Johnson (Rev. Val Johnson) of Lake Park, GA, her daughter Charlotte Hart Teston of Milton, FL, her son Curtis Hart (Vicki) of Jacksonville, FL, her son Carlos Hart (Kathi) of Jacksonville, FL, her stepson Frank McGraw (Betty) of Gainesville, FL, her stepson Walter McGraw (Charlotte) of Gainesville, FL, her stepson Larry McGraw (Janice) of Gainesville, FL, 9 grandchildren, 10 step-grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 14 step-great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, and 2 step-great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Howard G. McGraw of West Virginia; her brother Robert “Bobby” Frank Hodges of High Springs, her brother W.R. Bug Hodges Jr. of Daytona and her stepson Clinton Darrell McGraw of Gainesville, FL.
A funeral is scheduled for Tuesday April 26, 2016, at 11:00 am at Pentecostals of Gainesville church, 8105 NW 23rd Avenue, with Pastor J.W. Arnold officiating. She will be laid to rest in Laurel Hill Cemetery in Archer following the service. The family will receive friends Monday, April 25, 2016, 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., at WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME DOWNTOWN, 404 North Main Street.
