Bertha "June" Allen's Obituary
Allen, Bertha “June” went to be with Jesus at her home in Hawthorne, FL December 1, 2021. June was born in Speedwell, TN on July 29, 1932. She is now welcomed in the arms of her loving husband of 65 years Kenneth Allen.
She is survived by four daughters, Vanessa (Thomas) Edington, Lafayette, IN, Arlene Grady, Sandi (Jerry) Mercado and Starla (Milton) Brinson all of Hawthorne, FL; one foster son, Angel (Julio) Gomez, Palatka, FL. She was a very proud Nanny to 9 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren whom she loved whole heartedly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 5 brothers and 5 sisters and 2 great grand babies.
Her love was for quilting, crocheting, singing, playing the piano, going to church and spending time with all her family. June was also a member of the American Legion, Post 230.
Hours of visitation are from 11:00 to 12:00 on Monday, December 6, 2021, at Believers Worship Center, 8736 SR 21, Melrose, FL 32666. Services will begin at 12:00 pm. The services will be officiated by the Reverends, David Spedden and Larry Harris and Gwen Ingram. Burial will follow at Hawthorne Cemetery, Hawthorne, FL
