Benjamin Franklin Langley's Obituary
Benjamin Franklin Langley of Fort Lauderdale Florida passed away peacefully on August 15, 2022, at the age of 83 in Gainesville Florida of natural causes. He is predeceased by his mother Beryl, father Roger, and daughter Kimberly. He is survived by his wife Charlotte, daughter Kelli, son-in-law Robert, grandsons Alex and Connor, and great-granddaughter LunaGrace. Ben was a Navy Seabee stationed on Grand Turk Island. After his enlistment he joined the Fort Lauderdale Police Department, retiring after 33 years as a detective. He was a Fort Lauderdale Naval historian with a passion for collecting military aircraft, memorabilia, and uniforms. He was a founding member of the Fort Lauderdale Naval Air Station Historical society. He was a member of the national Fraternal Order of Police, Association of Naval Aviation, Navy Seabee Veterans of America, Tailhook Association, and the Navy League. Ben will be forever missed by his family, friends, and colleagues as he takes his final journey.
Funeral services will be held on August 27, 2022, at Fairchild Funeral Home in Ft Lauderdale FL.
