Benford K. Blankenship's Obituary
Benford K. Blankenship, age 87 of Melrose, Florida passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2017. He was born March 12, 1930 in Moulton, Alabama to Lee and Julia Greenhill Blankenship. Ben pastored many churches over the years, and pastored Believers Worship Center Church of God for 31 years. He played several instruments and even wrote some songs.
Ben is survived by his wife, Melba Blankenship; children, Ken Blankenship, Veda Wallace, Bill Blankenship, Darlene Skeen, Debbie Meeks, and LaNita DeCarie; brother, John Blankenship, and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, July 1, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Believers Worship Center Church of God, 8736 State Rd 21, Melrose, with Rev. Sarah Teams officiating. Burial will follow in Hawthorne Cemetery, 23350 S.E. Hawthorne Rd. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 a.m.
