Belle Backon Sutton's Obituary
Belle Backon Sutton, age 85 of Gainesville, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2024. She was born April 17, 1939 in Rutland, Vermont to Isador and Eleanor Sedell Backon.
Belle was a mother, a musician, and a day trader. She enjoyed playing the flute. She also played in many community orchestras. She loved her family and was a woman of faith. She prayed.
She is survived by her sons, Daniel (Donna) Sutton, Stephen (Marsha) Sutton, David (Mary Margaret) Sutton; daughter, Deborah (Aaron) Jaggard; grandchildren, Benjamin (Joanna), Matthew, Katie, Lorianne (Daniel), Luke, Jon, Margaret, Zechariah, Christopher, Thelma Ruth and Samuel.
Belle was preceded in death by her husband Jonel Sutton and her sister, Judy Martens.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 1, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Williams-Thomas Downtown, 404 North Main St. with Pastor Fred Lundy officiating.
