Belermina De Leon's Obituary
Belermina De Leon, a cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully at the age of 92 in Alachua, Florida, on Sunday, May 12, 2024. Born in Panama on November 10, 1931, to Tomas and Eustacia Diaz Perez, Belermina lived a life full of warmth and dedication, eventually making Tampa, Florida, her beloved home.
A devout member of the Tampa Community Church of the Nazarene, Belermina's faith was deeply intertwined with her daily life. She was a nurturing and uplifting presence, always supporting her family with love and devotion. Her infectious smile and joyful spirit were emblematic of her character. She took great pride in becoming an American citizen in 2016 and loved sharing the bounty of her avocado harvests with family and friends. A cherished dog was always by her side, each one loved dearly throughout her life.
Belermina is lovingly remembered by her children, Evelyn Beverly Oztolaza, Carlos M. De Leon, and Eliveth Grosteffon; her grandchildren, Carlos E. Oztolaza, Lourdes Mahoney, and Mateo; and her great-grandson, Carlos E. Oztolaza. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlos De Leon L.
A funeral service to honor Belermina's life will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at the Tampa Community Church of the Nazarene, located at 13165 N Dale Mabry Highway, Tampa, FL. Pastor John Teter will officiate. Family and friends are invited to gather one hour prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Belermina’s memory can be made to the Tampa Community Church of the Nazarene at the same address.
