Beckett Dickhaus' Obituary
Beckett Dickhaus, 11 months old, passed away on May 26, 2024, at Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Florida. Beckett was born on June 2, 2023, to John Lawrence and Rachel Suzanne Smith Dickhaus.
He was born with a congenital heart defect and received a heart transplant on February 25, 2024.
For the past two months he lived happily at home with mom, dad, and brother. Beckett loved music, especially Baby Beluga. He loved playing and interacting with his brother, always a big smile for everyone to see, he was an incredibly happy kid.
Beckett is survived by his parents, John, and Rachel; brother, Quentin Dickhaus; maternal grandparents, Richard, and Renee Smith; paternal grandmother, Annamaria Carnahan (Keith); paternal grandfather, Brian Dickhaus (Cynthia).
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Queen of Peace Catholic Church 10900 S.W. 24 Ave. Gainesville, FL. Burial will follow at St. Madeleine Catholic Church 17 N.W. US Hwy 441 High Springs, Florida
