Barney Elmer Holder Jr.'s Obituary
Barney Elmer Holder, Jr., 73 of Gainesville, Florida passed away Monday, July 20, 2015. He was born June 5, 1942 in Alachua County, Florida to Barney Elmer and Ola Mae Hall Holder, Sr.
He enjoyed riding horses and his 4-wheeler. Elmer loved coon hunting and hog hunting. He retired from Gainesville Regional Utilities as a right- of-way foreman in 1994.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his son, Charles (Tammy) Holder of Gainesville, FL; sisters, Juanita Burnett of Summerfield, FL and Rema Ogle of Burnsville, NC; grandchildren, Sara, Hunter and Dalton.
A graveside service will be held Friday, July 24, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery, La Crosse, FL with Rev. Ray DeBusk officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday, July 23, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME WESTAREA, 823 NW 143rd St. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Country Crossroads Baptist Church Roof Fund, 11411 State Road 121 N, Gainesville, FL 32653.
