Barbara Garrett Schmidt's Obituary
To my family, friends, and pals,
“Sorry to leave you all so soon, but I got a call to go paint sunsets every night, which was just an offer I couldn’t refuse. I was so lucky to have so many loving people around me to make my life so beautiful. Please don’t be sad for me because I finally get to dance among the stars and explore beyond the Milky Way.
I loved being an artist; looking back now, the most rewarding part is that I get to leave pieces of my soul for you all to enjoy. So just know that I am never far away. For those of you who I pranked, I hope there are no hard feelings. For those I’ve baked for, I hope you’ve enjoyed, especially those cookies and crème truffles.
I want you all to remember that life gives you only one canvas, so go paint yourself a masterpiece; and when life gives you grapefruit, just add vodka and have a party.”
