Barbara Lee Ragin's Obituary
Barbara Lee Ragin “Nana” age 65 of Gainesville passed away Thursday, November 27, 2025. She was born on July 3, 1960, in Gainesville, FL to Hosie and Lillian G. Williams Jackson.
Family was everything to her, she loved to make people laugh. She was affectionately known as Nana or Queen Bee because she was spoiled.
She loved her church. She was past Worthy Matron of Eastern Star, Azaela Chapter.
Barbara is survived by her children, Ernest Robinson, Vernita Gail Robinson, Cameron Scott and Larry James; two bonus daughters, Koko Frazier and Shanta; brothers, Hiram Jackson, Charles Edwards III, and Earl Smith; grandchildren, Chrystofer Robinson, Imani Garner, Atwon Robinson and a host of adopted grandchildren.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Freddie Dean Ragin.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, December 15, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Pleasant Plain United Methodist Church, 1910 NW 166th St., Newberry, with Pastor Kenya Ellis officiating.
