Mrs Barbara Jean Giambrone's Obituary
Mrs. Barbara Jean Giambrone, 80, longtime resident of Gainesville, Florida, passed away on Monday, January 29, 2024, in the Select Specialty Hospital, Gainesville, following a long illness.
Mrs. Giambrone was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on August 22, 1943, she moved with her family to Miami, Florida as a teenager. She worked for many years along with her husband on their farm, Santa Fe Blueberries. Mrs. Giambrone enjoyed gardening and working in her yard, she was an avid reader and enjoyed crossword puzzles. She was member of St. Patrick Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Donnie Proctor.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Frederick Giambrone; a daughter, Melinda (Rick) Sanders, of Newberry; two sons, Michael Giambrone, of Gainesville, and Eric (Shawna) Giambrone, of Ft. White; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at 1:00 P. M. at the Williams-Thomas Funeral Home Westarea, 823 NW 143rd Street, Newberry, with Fr. Lawrence Peck, officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, beginning at 12:00 P. M.
