Aselee (Brooks) Dixon's Obituary
Alachua - Aselee (Brooks) Dixon passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at Palm Garden nursing home under the care of Haven Hospice of Gainesville. She was 86. Aselee was born in Avery, Georgia, January 3 1930 to William and Reba Brooks. She married Homer Dixon on February 14, 1946. She and Homer moved to Alachua in 1971. She was retired from the Alachua County School Food Service. Aselee was a member of Forest Grove Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Homer in 2001 and numerous brothers and sisters. Survivors include her sons, Dennis (Mary) of Cheyenne, WY and Jerry (Bonnie) of Gainesville, FL; sister, Jewel of McDuffy County, GA; four grandchildren, four great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren, plus numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside Services will be held Saturday, December 31, 2016 at 1:00 p.m., in Memorial Park West with Rev. Dennis Tabor officiating. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorials to Haven Hospice, 4200 NW 90th Blvd., Gainesville, FL 32606.
