Arturo Ignacio Quesada's Obituary
Arturo Ignacio Quesada of Williston passed away Saturday, June 24, 2017 at the age of 97. Born to his loving parents Ramon Quesada and Virginia Manso Rodriguez on May 2, 1920 in San Antonio de las Vueltas, Cuba. Beloved husband to Frances Quesada for 44 and a half years. Loving step-father of Jack Figaro Jr. and Aggie Meece. Fond brother of Alina Quesada. Dearest grandfather of Duane Meece and his wife Christina of Pembroke Pines, Florida.
Arturo immigrated to the United States at age 37, spending time in New York before moving to South Florida where he met Frances. Following retirement, they both moved to Williston in 1994. In 2003, Arturo was proud to become a full citizen of the United States. He was known as a gentle soul and amazing cook, entertaining many for decades. Arturo was a very even-tempered man who never held a grudge, loving the many animals who lived with him and “Mama” over the years.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 28, 2017, 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 17353 US-27 ALT, Williston with Fr. Manny Lopez as celebrant. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Orange Hill Cemetery, 3502 NE 180 Avenue, Williston.
