Arbutus Dillon Langley's Obituary
Arbutus Dillon Langley came into this world on August 7th, 1934 to her mother Rosa and father Ira James (Died before her birth). She was surrounded by her family when she was called home by her Lord and Savior after 90 years of a wonderful and blessed life on Thursday March 6th 2025. She was born in Tazewell, Virginia and grew up in Baptist Valley.
Arbutus married the love of her life, Ray Dillon on May 27th, 1950. They had 26 years of a very happy and loving marriage until his death in 1976.
She then married Virgil Langley in 1986, they enjoyed 15 years of a happy marriage until his death in 2001.
Our Mother was a dedicated wife and homemaker, after our Dad passed away she went to work for Bear Archery in Gainesville where she retired with 18 years of service, she made many close friends during her time there.
She was a wonderful loving mother to 4 children, 9 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 2 step great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

Preceding her in death was her mother and father, mother-in-law, father-n-law, 5 brothers and 2 sisters.
Surviving her is son Kenneth Dillon (Margie), daughter Pat Ringstaff (Ermel), son Matt Dillon (Sonya) and daughter Jodi Floyd (Stanley), grandchildren Chris Ringstaff, Kerri Lopez, Lisa Rogers, Tricia Koch, Alan Floyd, Marcus Dillon, Kristyn Moore, Tyler Dillon and Kirstie Bruce, great-grandchildren Klarissa Kientz, Christopher Ringstaff, Tanner Rogers, Reagan Rogers, Isabel Lopez, Landry Rogers, Kynley Dillon, Hunter Floyd, Avery Dillon, Gavin Floyd, Briana Davis, Dalton Koch, Maddie Lopez, Riley Koch, Aubreigh Lopez, Weston Moore, Gavyn Bolin, Arie Moore, Jayce Ringstaff, Maverick Bruce, Bella Ringstaff, Skylar Bruce, Hadley Moore, Lainey Moore and great-great-grandchild Levi Kientz, in addition several nieces and nephews to cherish their memory of her.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. at Williams-Thomas Hawthorne Chapel, 22205 SE 69th Avenue, Hawthorne, with Pastor Tyler Dillon officiating. Visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Hawthorne Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be her sons-in-law.
The family wishes to thank Cindy, Marilyn and the whole staff at Putnam County Haven Hospice Care for their care and kindness during this difficult time. We also want to thank Linda for her kindness and care in our time of need.
