Antonio H. Tan's Obituary
Antonio H. Tan, age 77 of Gainesville, FL passed away Friday, October 13, 2017. He was born September 29, 1940 in the Philippines to Tiac Tian and Hospicia Bareng Hernando Tan.
Mr. Tan was a handy man at home and he loved to build things. He loved listening to music and watching movies, his favorite movies were “An Affair to Remember” and “Somewhere in Time”. Some of his most special memories included when he fulfilled his dream of visiting the USA in 2009, as well as when he first visited New York City last July.
He is survived by his wife, Benedicta C. Tan; children, Roger and Sally Tan, Alexander and Rexie Tan, Arnel and Aimeeh Tan, and Anthony; grandchildren, Janelle, Maverick, Jerome, Jericho, Karen and Kris, Erin and Chad, and Aldrin; great grandchild, Sophie; sisters, Pat Tee and Delia Ang, and brother, Amador Tan, Sr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 10900 SW 24th Ave., Gainesville, with Fr. Jeff McGowan as celebrant. The family will receive friends Friday, October 20, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME WESTAREA, 823 NW 143rd Street, as well as Saturday, October 21, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. prior to the service.
