Ann J. Leeper's Obituary
Anne J. Leeper, 89, of Gainesville, Florida, formerly of Aliquippa, passed away peacefully on Saturday July 23, 2016 in the Haven Hospice Care Center, Gainesville, Florida.
She was born on June 28, 1927, in Rochester, a daughter of the late John M. and Edith (Scheidner) Johnston. Anne was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Aliquippa where she served on many committees and was an active member of the United Methodist Women. She was also a member of the Woodlawn Chapter 164 Order of the Eastern Star.
In addition to her parents, Anne was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Leeper on May 16, 1987, three sisters, Lois Russell, Miriam McGrail and Sarah DeCaro, and three brothers Marty, Al and Jimmy Johnston.
She is survived by two daughters, Patricia (Thomas) Bigger, Gainesville, FL and Pamela (Thomas) Lewis, Hopewell Twp., PA; two sons, Robert (Linda) Leeper, Pawleys Island, SC and Randall (Donna) Leeper, Mount Joy, PA; nine grandchildren, Kathryn (Eric) Laufenberg, Rebecca (John) Atkinson, Christopher (Ashley) Eckert, William Leeper, Thomas Lewis, David (Samantha) Leeper, Robert Bigger, Patrick Leeper and Megan Lewis; five great-grandchildren Julia and Ben Laufenberg, Sophie and Gwen Atkinson, and Norah Leeper; one brother John (Dorothy) Johnston.
Friends will be received Saturday July 30 in the 1st United Methodist Church, Brodhead & Chapel Roads, Aliquippa, from 10:30 until time of funeral services at 11:00 A.M. Interment will be in Mill Creek Cemetery, Hookstown, PA .
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Haven Hospice Care Center, 4200 NW 90th Blvd, Gainesville, FL 32606.
