Anita Truhon Wilhelm's Obituary
Anita Truhon Wilhelm, 80, of Gainesville, FL died October 7, 2021. Anita was born March 4, 1941, in Detroit, MI to John and Margaret Petoskey Truhon. Anita earned her bachelor’s degree in philosophy from the University of Detroit and her Master of Social Work from Florida State University. She worked at Lillian’s Music, Sun Bank, and for the county and state as a social worker.
Anita cherished her children and grandchildren, all of whom will miss her greatly. She had a heart for giving and volunteering, sharing her time and talents with Friends of the Library and the Humane Society. She was also a Civitan Blood Bank Galloneer. Anita was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church.
Anita is survived by her children, Laura (Angelo) Iasiello, Dan (Erin Ramsey) Wilhelm, and Edith (Ken) Hetling, and her grandchildren, Alina, Cecilia, Gianfranco, Anneliese, Maxwell, and Vida.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, October 9, 2021, at 1:00PM at Evergreen City Cemetery, 401 SE 21st Ave., with Fr. Lawrence Peck officiating.
