Alta Ruth Wagner's Obituary
Alta Ruth Wagner, age 69, passed away in Crossville, Tennessee on Wednesday, May 17, 2023. She was born on December 14, 1953, in Gainesville, Florida, to Jack Durrance and Alta Gay Durrance.
She was a talented pianist, and played for the congregations of several churches, including, most recently, Southwest Baptist Church. She also enjoyed sewing, canning, and watching Western TV shows. She was a lover of animals, especially birds and dogs, and a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Wagner; daughters, Rachel and Sarah Pittman; brothers, John and Mike Durrance; sister, Kay Durrance; and granddaughter, Eliana Esparza-Pittman.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Williams-Thomas Westarea 823 N.W. 143rd Street Newberry, FL. 32669. Flowers may be sent to this address.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Jonesville Cemetery 17745 S.W. 15th Ave. Newberry, FL. with Rev. Bill Keith and Rev. Elwood Baker.
