Alma Ilene Peck's Obituary
Alma Ilene Peck, 81, passed away on Friday, June 19, 2015 at E.T. York Haven Hospice after a long illness. Mrs. Peck was born in Alexandria, Indiana in 1933. She spent most of her life in Indiana before retiring to North Central Florida where she was a resident of Gainesville and recently of Ocala. Mrs. Peck was an avid reader and an avid sports fan who spent her life caring for others, especially for her 7 children, 11 grandchildren and many patients in her career as a registered nurse.
Mrs. Peck is survived by her husband of 50 years, William “Bill” Peck, her six children, Theresa Legault of Hollywood, Fl, David Peck of Gainesville, Timothy Peck of Gainesville, Laura Peck of Los Angeles, CA, Carol Peck of Gainesville and Robert Peck of St. Petersburg, Fl, 11 grandchildren, one great grandchild, her sister Rose Buss of Albuquerque, NM and her brother Charles “Skip” Mack of Alexandria, IN as well as many other loved ones. She was preceded in death by her daughter Mary Bock, granddaughter Grace Peck and her brother Frederick “Joe” Mack.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, June 26, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. at Holy Faith Catholic Church, 747 NW 43rd Street with Fr. Emmanuel Pazhayapurackal as celebrant. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation at http://www.pulmonaryfibrosis.org.
