Allegra Wadsworth Blum's Obituary
Allegra Wadsworth Blum, 94, longtime resident of High Springs, Florida, died Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at her home, following a long illness.
Mrs. Blum was born in Berks County, Pennsylvania on April 9, 1931, to the late Jacob Llewellyn and Bessie Berlin Adams. Mrs. Blum lived much of her adult life in Jacksonville, Florida, where, along with her late husband, Mr. George Blum, owned and operated Blum’s Gas, for many years before retiring to High Springs. She was a longtime member of the High Springs Church of God.
Survivors include her husband, Marcus Bottomly; one son, Brad (Carol) Blum; two grandchildren, David Matthew (Lisa) Blum and Brandi (Kris) Walter; six great grandchildren, Grace and Blake Blum, Jackson and Morgan Diaz and Emma and Abby Walter, and by one sister, Darlene Carlton.
Graveside funeral services will be held on Monday, August 25, 2025, at 12:00 P. M., in the High Springs City Cemetery. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 A. M., at Williams-Thomas Funeral Home Westarea, 823 NW 143rd Street, Newberry, until 11:00 A. M.
